Product Description

System Pro Freeride Men's Rear Entry Step-In Snowboard Bindings : System has added the all new aluminum body PRO models to their binding lineup! Featuring the state of the art FASTEC rear entry/step-in design, these bindings are easier to get in and out of than any you have used before! Don't sit down to strap in, just slide your foot in and ride away! To make sliding your foot in even easier the pro ankle strap utilizes an autorelease function to provide tons of room to fit your entire boot, and then cinches back down with one quick lever! The Pro line upgrades the body to leightweight aluminum making it one of the strongest and lightest bindings on the market. This Freeride version of the PRO separates itself with the Freeride 3D EVA highback. The most responsive and sturdy hiback in the line, the Freeride back loves aggressive lines, steeps and charging down hill. An upgraded fully covered high density EVA footbed is combined with added dampening under the base pad to eliminate board chatter and create a cloud like ride that is unmatched! The Pro also adds an EVO ratchet buckle to allow for easy micro adjustments to the fit of the ankle strap. The 3D molded ankle strap is covered in highly durable polyurethane that offers maximum comfort and instant response! Toolless forward-lean adjust, covered baseplate and sliding strap adjustments make tweaking the PRO to perfectly fit your boot and riding style a breeze! If you like finding aggressive lines, looking for pow, and creating your own path down the mountain, the PRO Freeride can't be beat.

First off, I am an intermediate to advance rider. Been riding for over 15 years. First time back on a board in a few years cause of warm winters here but in my prime boarding days I could throw down 540’s and carve like no one’s business. My previous bindings were Ride Deltas (shown in photo). Loved those bindings to death, but it was time for them to go, the straps are literally disintegrating and Ride no longer supports that model. At the time they were very high end bindings and included them in the photo so you can see how similar in construction they are to the Systems. They share a lot in design (aluminum body) which is why I decided to give them a try because of the good luck I had with the Ride Deltas. And boy am I not disappointed.I wish Amazon was a thing back in the day because what you can get now for the money is unreal. Back in my prime bindings like these would easily be $400 dollars for a name brand (think some still are) The one previous review that gentleman talks about these coming out of the same factory under a “house” brand is correct. Same parts, same tech. Just “off brand” and product support is there if you need replacement straps or what not down the road.If you’re coming from a traditional “strap in” binding these are a game changer. They are not perfect, you need to read the instructions and play around with them some before going on the mountain the first time. Took me two hours to get these bad boys dialed in initially to play with the settings and get the “feel” just right. but once you get the hang of how you strap in I literally can get strapped in, in literal seconds before my friends butts ever sit down on the ground to begin strapping in. No more wet butt from sitting, no more waisted time. Now that I’m a 32 year old boarder. I am grateful to have these so I am not getting down and getting up 100 times a day. For that alone, I think they are worth the price if you looking to upgrade. My only negative with them, which everyone’s experience may be different. but for me and my boots I wear a size 10 in Solomon’s. I went with the large size and they fit like a glove. I am super connected with my board there is no play at all. Very responsive and every movement I make transfers to my board. If you wear an 11 I would maybe lean towards the XL. But with that said because for me they fit “like a glove” If you are not on perfectly level ground and if you start moving I was struggling to get my foot in and strapped. I would rather be strapped In like a glove vs having space in my binding. This experience maybe user error, I only used them on two day trips so far and I likely need more time on them to get them down but so far first impression look very promising. But overall impressions for $170 and change if your someone’s who Is not on the mountain every single moment. I plan to hit the mountain somewhere between 7-10 times this season. But want the performance of an aluminum body chassis and features of a rear entry binding these are worthy of your attention. Really happy I got these. Time will tell how they hold up but I am feeling optimistic that I got a higher end binding without breaking the bank cause I do not ride like I used to back in my high school days. If these get me through a few years of riding I will consider these a win.
